How does a person with chronic kidney disease (CKD) feel?
Most people may not have serious symptoms until their kidney disease progresses.
However, you may notice that:
- You feel weak and tire easily
- You are less resistant to infections (you get ill more easily)
- You find it difficult to concentrate and remember things
- Your appetite lessens and you have problems sleeping
- You experience menstrual abnormalities, decreased sexual desire or impotence
- You get cramps in your muscles, usually at night
- Your feet swell and you have rough skin on them
- You itch a lot
